Hey everyone! Nancy Ann and I have been busy the last few weeks but one of the projects that we worked on was so fun and the homeowner was so wonderful that we had to share the project with you all!

Nancy Ann met with this homeowner a few weeks ago to discuss her needs. She and her husband had purchased this home in Lynchburg, VA and were trying to combine their furniture. They ended up with some duplication and had a massive antique overflow. Beautiful antique pieces were under-utilized and some were even hidden away. After about 10 hours of work - we were able to brighten and showcase some of these amazing pieces!

Before - Family Room
This family room is small and narrow but being right off the kitchen it's a comfortable relaxing space. The homeowner was right in angling the sofas but it just need some extra love.

Before - Living Room
The homeowner teaches music and this space needed some extra pieces of furniture. The room was too large and looked bare.

After - Living Room
We added in some larger pieces of furniture from other rooms and made a small conversation area in the center without blocking the flow of traffic. We removed some family photos and focused on the great art pieces the owner had lying around.

As a bonus - we updated the foyer as well. The before only had a coat rack and a table too small for the wall. And after, we added in a more appropriate sized table with a chair the homeowner had in the living room.

Before - Dining Room
This dining room had a table that was too large and too many large pieces of furniture. What you can't see is that they are two large hutches and a huge buffet!

After - Dining Room
By moving the hutches to the opposite walls and removing the leaf in the table, we were able to reduce the visual impact of the heaviness of the furniture. We also re-positioned the table the opposite way.

Before - Library/Office
The homeowner has tons of books and had these beautiful built-in shelves made but the office didn't feel cozy.

After - Library / Office
The rug was originally in the sunroom and was too small for that space, but it fit perfectly in this room. We adjusted the desk and the chair and hung up some of the owners favorite artwork. Tidied the bookshelves and now she has a cozy reading nook!

After - Sunroom
The sunroom was a crowded dumping ground for plants and extra furniture. We removed some of the pieces that didn't work. Re-arranged a few larger pieces and added some accessories!

Before - Master Bedroom
Once again, beautiful antiques but no one could see or enjoy them! The bed being angled really over-powered the room but we understand why the homeowner did that. It's hard to block a window.

After - Master Bedroom
We maneuvered the bed against a free wall. Moved out a large console table and chair. Switched a few end tables to find one that was the right size and height and hung up some artwork.

Before - Guest Room
Another room with the bed on an angle but once again, blocking a window isn't the best idea. However, this headboard was low enough that it wasn't going to block any natural light. We moved the dresser to the opposite corner, hung some artwork and de-cluttered.

After - Guest Room
This room is bright and welcoming for any guest!

This couple was thrilled with the changes we made. Nothing was purchased and they were even able to downsize and donate a few pieces. You have enough - let us help you see the beauty in the things you have and find purpose in your home!
